Indications
Systear sterile ophthalmic solution is indicated for the temporary relief of burning, irritation, and discomfort caused by dry eyes.
Description
Systear contains Polyethylene Glycol 400 and Propylene Glycol, which act as lubricating agents for dry and irritated eyes. It helps:
Keep the eye moist
Protect the eye surface from irritation
Reduce burning, itching, and foreign body sensation
Pharmacology
When the drops mix with natural tears, they form a soft protective gel layer over the surface of the eye. This lubricating and protective action helps damaged eye surface cells heal more easily and improves eye comfort.
Dosage & Administration
Instill 1 drop into the affected eye(s) 4 times daily or as needed.
Contraindications
Contraindicated in patients with hypersensitivity or allergy to any ingredient of the formulation.
Side Effects
Usually well tolerated. Rarely, allergic reactions or eye irritation may occur.
Precautions & Warnings
Do not touch the dropper tip to any surface to avoid contamination.
Replace the cap tightly after use.
Do not use for more than 1 month after opening.
