Opsonin Pharma LtdProduct Description
Introduction
Clamox 625 is a penicillin-type antibiotic used to treat bacterial infections. It is effective against infections of the lungs (such as pneumonia), ear, sinuses, urinary tract, skin, and soft tissues. It does not work for viral infections like the common cold.
Clamox 625 should be taken with food to reduce the risk of stomach upset. It must be taken at regular, evenly spaced intervals as prescribed by your doctor. Taking it at the same time each day helps you remember your dose. The dosage depends on the condition being treated, but the full course must always be completed even if symptoms improve. Stopping early may allow some bacteria to survive and cause the infection to return or worsen.
Common side effects include nausea, vomiting, and diarrhea. These are usually mild, but you should consult your doctor if they persist or become bothersome.
Before taking this medicine, inform your doctor if you are allergic to any antibiotics or have kidney or liver problems. Also tell your healthcare provider about all other medicines you are taking, as interactions may occur. Clamox 625 is generally considered safe during pregnancy and breastfeeding when prescribed by a doctor.

How Clamox 625 works
Clamox 625 is a combination of amoxicillin and clavulanic acid. Amoxicillin works by stopping the formation of the bacterial cell wall, which is essential for bacterial survival. Clavulanic acid inhibits beta-lactamase enzymes, thereby enhancing the effectiveness of amoxicillin against resistant bacteria.
What if you forget to take Clamox 625?
If you miss a dose, take it as soon as you remember. However, if it is close to the time for your next dose, skip the missed dose and continue your regular schedule. Do not take a double dose.
