Bilastine is an antihistamine used to relieve allergy symptoms such as itching, swelling, and rashes. It should be taken either one hour before or two hours after meals, and preferably at the same time each day for best results. Always follow your doctor’s instructions regarding the dose and duration, which depend on your condition, age, and the form of the medicine (tablet or syrup). Continue taking it for the full prescribed period, and consult your doctor if your symptoms do not improve. Common side effects include headache and drowsiness. These are usually mild, but if they persist or become bothersome, inform your doctor. Drinking plenty of fluids is generally recommended during treatment.
