Indications:Curafin is used for the treatment of fungal skin infections such as tinea pedis (athlete’s foot), tinea cruris, tinea inguinalis, tinea corporis, tinea manuum and pityriasis versicolor.Pharmacology:Amorolfine is a broad-spectrum topical antifungal agent. It works by inhibiting fungal enzymes involved in sterol synthesis, leading to depletion of ergosterol and disruption of fungal cell membranes.Dosage and Administration:Apply once daily to the affected area after cleaning, preferably in the evening. Treatment should continue until complete healing and for 3–5 days afterward. Usually, therapy lasts 2–3 weeks, but foot infections may require up to 6 weeks. Not recommended for use in children due to limited clinical data.Drug Interactions:No significant interactions reported with other topical medications.Contraindications:Contraindicated in patients with known hypersensitivity to amorolfine or any of the formulation components.Side Effects:Side effects are rare and generally mild, including minor skin irritation or reactions.Pregnancy and Lactation:Use during pregnancy and breastfeeding only if clearly necessary. Avoid application on the breast area in nursing mothers.Precautions and Warnings:Avoid contact with eyes, ears and mucous membranes.
